2/1/22 – This is a very nice example of a Finnish Mosin M39 made at the VKT Arsenal in 1941. The bolt handle matches the receiver, the serial number is electro-penciled onto the side of the bolt body, and there is a crossed out serial number on the bolt body as well. The floor plate is mismatched. The butt plate is un-numbered. Import mark on the barrel. The receiver is marked “VKT” and has the proper Finnish “SA” markings throughout. No visible markings on the stock. Comes with an original cleaning rod. The gun has lost most of its original finish. There are a few small areas of minor discoloration on the barrel. A few small scratches and dings on the receiver. The stock is minty but was likely sanded. The bore has good rifling with areas of tiny pin-pricking here and there.
