1/7/22 – This is an incredible and complete Diana Grade Browning Superposed Competition Skeet shotgun set with the original case and all three barrels. Manufactured in Belgium in 1968, this Diana Grade shotgun features deep relief scroll engraving on the receiver, break lever and trigger guard. In addition, the receiver is engraved with pheasants in a wooded scene on the left side, ducks in a wooded marsh scene on the right side, two quail in flight on the underside and two rabbits in a wooded scene on the trigger guard. The left side of the receiver is signed by the engraver, “A. Marechal”. The forearm latch assembly is scroll and border engraved. Each set of barrels (20, 28 and 410 gauge) feature matte vent ribs with dual bead sights. The 410 barrels are chambers 2 1/2″, the 20 and 28 gauge are 2 3/4″ chambers, all are choked skeet/skeet with ejectors and their own high gloss checkered beavertail forearm. Complete with Browning takedown case with partial padded fleece lining. The finish shows nearly zero wear on receiver or any of the barrels. Terrific satin finish on the receiver and excellent bores on all the barrels. Just a top-end example of a rare set in like-new condition. We have had inquiries in regards to possible “Salt Wood” issues with this example due to its manufacture year. We have examined contact points between the wood and metal and do not observe notable corrosion. The butt plate screws have been examined and appear in mint condition.
