1/24/22 – This is an original 1st model Pith helmet from WW2. These helmets were used by the DAK and the 1st model helmets are much more scarce than the 2nd model Pith helmets. The 1st model has a cloth exterior and a molded cork brim. This example is in good overall condition with some honest wear from use and aging. There are two small cracks in the cork brim. The top of the helmet is also somewhat dilapidated. The interior is fairly clean and JHS maker stamped. Both exterior decals are in good condition. The eagle logo is only attached by one of the two fastening pins and can swivel as a result. Price reduced based on condition.
