12/8/21 – This is a very nice example of a Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. The frame has a very nice plumb color to it. The gun has retained about 90% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, so the profile views are excellent. There is minor wear on the high edges of the slide, around the muzzle, and a light streak of wear on the top of the barrel in the ejection port. A few very light surface scratches on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent bakelite grips and a period-correct Walther magazine. The bore has good rifling with pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.
