12/2/21 – This is a rare early variation of a Nazi Mauser HSC. Sometimes referred to as the second variation, this example is 1 of 5,000 HSc’s that were marked with an “eagle 655” army acceptance proof and no test eagle. Serial number 728492 which indicates 1941 production. The finish is high-polish blue and has retained approximately 95% of its original finish with minor freckling on the right rail of the slide and minor oxidation throughout. The front grip strap also has a bit of bluing loss across it. Comes with great wood grips and an early Mauser banner magazine. The left grip has a small chip near the slide, as is typical of HSc’s but otherwise both grips are in great condition.
