11/29/21 – This is an excellent example of a Reising Target Model pistol manufactured in the 1920’s. Production estimates on these range from about 7,000 – 13,000 – there is some debate about the serial ranges. This one is all correct and in excellent condition, retaining about 97% of its original high polish finish. There is spotty wear on the high edges of the top of the slide and an area of minor wear at the base of the back strap. Some very minor pin-pricking on both straps. Comes with excellent period-correct grips and one proper magazine. The bore has strong rifling with some areas of minor freckling. According to the consignor, this gun is unsafe to fire with high-velocity or mini mags – standard velocity only!
