11/23/21 – This is a nice example of a Walther PP sold in the commercial market in 1943. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Eagle N” commercial proofs. It comes as a rig with an un-marked period-correct holster and a post-war magazine. There is a name scratched lightly into the back of the holster. The gun has retained roughly 70-75% of its finish. Most of the finish loss is on the slide. There are two areas of noticeable finish loss and heavy pitting on the left side of the slide and an area of significant finish loss on the right side of the slide. Pitting and wear around the muzzle as well. There are small pits along the whole slide. Scratchy wear and discoloration on the right side of the frame. Very minor thinning and brown patina on the grip straps. Comes with very nice black bakelite grips – a few small hairline cracks along the edges of the left panel. Minty bore.
