11/9/21 – This is a minty example of a Remington 1903-A3 bolt action rifle issued to the US Military in September of 1943. The barrel is Remington-marked, has a military flaming bomb proof, and is dated September of 1943. It comes with a front sight cover that is US-marked and has a flaming bomb proof. The stock has the proper cross-canon military cartouche, “FJA” inspector initials, and has an “RA” Remington Arsenal stamp. There is what looks like a rack number in yellow paint on the right side of the butt stock. It comes with a 1942-dated tan leather sling. The gun is in minty condition, retaining most of its original finish. There is just some light scratchy wear on the barrel near the muzzle, some tiny handling marks on the front barrel band, and some thinning on the floor plate and trigger group. The wood stock is in minty condition and was likely lightly sanded at some point. The bore is mint.
