11/3/21 – This is an original US Field Grade Officer’s Hat from the Vietnam Era. The hat is in great condition with a wool exterior that has no holes or issues. The front eagle emblem has some mild patina and aging but is secure and in tact. The top brim is embroidered with oak leaves that are mostly all tight. The interior of the hat is named to R.M. Doerrman, who was a Major in the US Army. The interior is in great condition with some missing stitches along the leather liner, but most of the stitching is in tact. The interior also shows the original maker marking from “Art Caps” in New York.
