10/6/21 – This is an original SA dagger with a ground Rohm. The dagger was originally a presentation piece by SA leader Ernst Rohm, presented to members who served in the SA since 1932. After the night of the Long Knives, SA members had to remove the dedication inscription and signature from the dagger. This example is made by Eickhorn and has an excellent, clean blade. Beautiful cross graining remains on the inscribed side, and the reverse shows a crisp maker marking. the handle has no cracks or chips. The hand guard appears to be marked with a faint “B” and an “O” or “U”. Comes with an original scabbard that has patina throughout and one minor dent, but is in good overall condition, and an original hanger.
