9/29/21 – This is an excellent example of a very early Nambu Type 14 issued to the Japanese military in October of 1929. It is all matching and has retained about 98% of its original finish. There are just hints of wear around the high edges and around the muzzle. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is freckling and spotty oxidation throughout, most noticeable on the straps and on the barrel. Comes with original matching grips and an early period-correct but mismatched magazine. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with some frosting in the grooves. Made in the Chigusa arsenal which only made about 7800 of these pistols.
