12/21/22 – This is an excellent example of a rare Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper “Waffen 135” military acceptance proofs. This one is rare because it has a rare FN-made slide. The finish looks dark, so believe it has been professionally restored. It has retained virtually all of its finish with very minor handling marks/light scratches here and there. It comes with excellent grips and a period original but unmarked magazine. The bore is shiny with very strong rifling with areas of very minor freckling in some of the grooves. De-cocker is functional. NOTE: The magazine shown in the photos is not the one included with the listing. It was replaced with an unmarked magazine that does show some corrosion on the spine.
