8/9/21 – This is a very nice example of an exceptionally rare “Eagle K” Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi police force in 1939. It is all matching, has an added police sear safety, has the Mauser banner logo on the toggle, and has the proper police “Eagle K” proof on the right side of the slide. This gun is exceptionally rare as only about 850 guns of this configuration were ever produced. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There are areas of thinning on both straps, on the chamber, and on the barrel. Areas of minor wear on the side plate and side rails. One spot of discoloration on the left side of the barrel. Patina and spotty oxidation on the straps. Areas of minor pitting on the front strap. Some tiny dots of oxidation on the barrel. Comes with very nice matching grips – two small chips along the top edge of the left grip. Also comes with a period-correct mismatched magazine. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and a hint of frosting in the grooves.
