9/6/24 – This is a nice example of a French-made Mauser P.38 put together from leftover Nazi parts immediately after WW2. This one is matching and has a “Waffen 135” Nazi military proof on the barrel. French star proof on the right side of the slide. There is an import mark on the edge of the underside of the slide. It has a very dark finish and has retained about 90%. There is minor pin-pricking throughout and areas of minor splotchy discoloration on both sides of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a WW2-era waffen-proofed magazine. The bore is excellent with very minor frosting in the grooves. De-cocker is functional. There is a lot of thick grease in the internals – would benefit from a good cleaning.
