7/21/21 – This is a scarce and early Colt ACE, made in 1931, the first year of production. It’s a nice, honest example with a very pretty profile but most of the wear on the front strap. There are some takedown scratches on slide and frame, and muzzle wear on the slide. Extremely early solid barrel prior to the introduction of the floating chamber designed to amplify recoil and give an experience closer to shooting a .45 ACP instead of a .22 LR. Adjustable square notch rear sight, tall contoured front sight. Fully checkered walnut grips, checkered hammer with spur, left side only magazine release, slide release, and safety; short checkered trigger. Long 1911A1 grip safety, knurled arched mainspring housing. Two tone magazine. Minty bore and excellent grips. Comes with an original manual.
