7/9/21 – This is an original 1938 dated K98 bayonet with a matching serial numbered scabbard. The blade and scabbard both are numbered 89g. The two-digit serial number is desirable. The blade is blued and in great condition with some mild finish loss near the tip. The wood handles are free of cracks or chips. There is some mild patina throughout the metal fittings on the handle. The scabbard is covered with a brown patina but doesn’t have any dents or major flaws. The leather frog is in good condition.
