6/23/21 – This is an original, rare variation D.A.K. K98 bayonet. The bayonet comes with a matching scabbard, both numbered “4648j”. The blade is also maker stamped “jwn” on one side. The spine is numbered “42” for the date of manufacture. The blade is not sharpened and in great condition with some finish thinning throughout but no rust or pitting. The scabbard shows similar finish thinning and mild patina throughout. The green canvas frog is ink stamped on the back, but the ink is faded and illegible.
