10/6/21 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser Model 1914 rig that was originally sold in the commercial market and then issued to the German police. It is all matching and has the proper “Crown U” proofs. There is an “S.P.L.” German police unit marking on the front strap. The gun comes with an excellent period-correct holster and two matching police arsenal-numbered magazines. It has retained about 97-98% of its original finish. Minor wear and tiny freckling around the muzzle. Very tiny dots of freckling on the front strap. Excellent wood grip – very tiny chip in the bottom right corner. Mint bore.
