6/18/21 – This is a nice, honest example of a Colt M1917 revolver that was issued to US Army at the end of WWI. All original with most of the wear on the left side of frame and also the grip frame. Grips are hand numbered and matching to the revolver. Smooth mechanics. Excellent bore. United States Property marked barrel with Springfield S/20 inspectors mark on frame. Comes with a letter from the Springfield Research Service which shows the gun was later sold as surplus to a civilian for security use at a bank in Indiana.
