6/2/21 – This is a very nice example of an all-phosphate Mauser HSC made at the very end of WW2, in 1945. This one has an all phosphate finish, “Eagle N” proofs, late-war black bakelite grips, and no waffen proofs. This gun is either a rare late-war commercial gun or a gun that was in the factory at the end of the war and was never issued to the military. The nature of the phosphate makes the finish very difficult to rate, but our best guess is about 90%. Minor thinning on the straps and minor wear around the muzzle. Spotty oxidation and discoloration throughout. Brown patina on the straps. Comes with a phosphate magazine. Minty bore.
