6/1/21 – This is a very nice example of a rare Simson Luger that was issued to the Nazi military and then diverted to the police. It is all matching and has the proper Simson proofs. It also has an added police sear safety and a police arsenal-numbered matching matching. No chamber date. It has retained about 90% of its original finish. Very minor thinning and brown patina on the front strap. Minor wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. Minor thinning on the barrel. A few very small areas of spotty oxidation here and there. Comes with excellent matching grips. Excellent bore – shiny with strong rifling. There is thick grease in the internals – could benefit from a good cleaning.
