5/27/21 – This is a rare Nazi MP 44 modified to semi-automatic after the war. This gun was built from an original receiver that was single saw cut and had the sear spot welded per ATF instructions to restrict full-auto use. It has matching receiver, tangent sight, collar and bolt, but stock is mismatched. Slide is also mismatched. The finish shows some general wear and patina, but also has had some cold blue applied to the receiver. Rare unnumbered bolt that’s a WW2 original. Strong, shiny bore. There’s a small surface crack along the top of the stock but it is stable, as there is a reinforcing repair on the inside. Original magazine comes with the gun, and is ‘gqm’ maker marked. Also includes original sling. Receiver is proofed ‘cos’ and ‘qlv’ and has several waffenamts. All around a very nice example of one the most desirable and collectible World War II firearms.
