5/27/21 – This is a nice example of a DWM Luger that was initially issued to the Imperial German Army in 1917. It was then reworked for police use after WW1. It has a “1920” rework date on the chamber – you can see a faint “1917” under it. It also has an added police sear safety. The barrel was replaced – it is not numbered and has a Simson proof on it. The gun is all matching except for the barrel, which is un-numbered. It also has the proper Imperial proofs. It has retained roughly 75% of its original finish. The front strap has lost all of its finish. There is minor wear on the side plate, chamber, front edges of the side rails, and around the muzzle. Heavy spotty oxidation on the front strap. Small areas of tiny pits on the back strap and right side rail. Nice wood grips – small chip in the left side. Comes with a matching police arsenal-numbered magazine. Mint bore.
