5/12/21 – This is an early WW1 Luger holster. The back of the holster is maker stamped, which is faint but still visible, and dated 1911. The holster has an additional interior lid ink stamp which indicates 1912 as the date. Our theory is this was made in 1911 but issued for military use in 1912. the leather has surface cracking and scuffing on the lid as shown. None of this cracking goes very deep into the leather. There’s more aging and general wear throughout the leather but overall the holster is in good shape considering its’ age. All original stitching is intact.
