5/6/21 – This is a nice example of a Smith & Wesson M1917 issued to the US Military during WW1. It is “United States Property” marked and has a flaming bomb proof and the proper Eagle Head proofs. The gun has retained roughly 50% of its original finish. There is spotty wear throughout. Minor roll mark on the cylinder. The cylinder is tight and the action is smooth. Excellent grips. The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout.
