4/13/21 – Offered is a unique 1938 flying competition badge of the N.S.F.K. (Nationalsozialistische Flieger Korps). The badge is of two part construction, with an enamel face, with part part rivetted NSFK silver badge. Pin backed to rear, showing maker mark for O. Felchler. Measures 55mm wide. It was produced for the 1938 Reichsflugwettbewerb (State Flying Competition) in Berlin. The heavy pin back badge is filled on the front side with medium blue hard fired cloisonne enamel (like glass, not paint). As you can see, this rare badge is not damaged in any way and is in very good condition, with a light patina to the obverse.
