4/2/21 – This is a mint example of a Walther P1. The frame is dated 1968 and the slide is dated 1965. It’s a rare model in that is is a commercial example of the P1. The P1 designation was specifically used for military/government agency pistols. This pistol has the internal Walther inspection marks for military bound guns (dot in circle) but has no military proofs. So it was intended for German military use but diverted to commercial sales. There is a “Made in West Germany” export mark on the right side of the frame. The gun is in mint condition with virtually no signs of wear. There are a few small dots of discoloration on the left side of the slide. The gun comes with an original box (serialized to the gun), owners manual, test target (serialized to the gun), two proper magazines, and a cleaning rod. The bore is mint.
