3/25/21 – This is a very nice example of a Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 bolt action rifle. The serial on the receiver dates it to 1919. It has a Springfield barrel dated 1928. There are no proofs on the stock, but it does have a Ratan Arsenal rework mark. “US” mark and flaming bomb proof on the front sight hood. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition – just some spotty oxidation and patina here and there. The stock is nice, but there are small dings, dents, and scratches throughout. Minty bore.
