3/16/21 – This is a fantastic Type 44 carbine as produced at Nagoya arsenal. It is a second series Nagoya Arsenal production of the Type 44 cavalry carbine made in the late 1930s. Nagoya made 11,200 second series T44s from May 1936 to September 1942. Bayonet housing is the correct Type 3 variation. The original blue is excellent and receiver has desirable intact mum. Minimal bluing loss overall, mainly on trigger guard. Stock is all original and never been sanded or lacquered. It does have several noticeable dings, especially on the underside. Mint bore. All matching numbers throughout.
