8/19/24 – This is an excellent example of a rare Walther PP that was ordered by and issued to the Danish Police force in 1940. In 1940, the the Danish Rigspolitiet purchased approx. 1,200 Walther PP pistols in the 182000p – 201000p serial number range with factory-installed lanyard rings. After they were received, they were engraved at the Danish Armory In Copenhagen with “RPLT” and a Inventory number. This one was also given a serial number on the slide. After being in police service for a number of years, it was common for them to have been refinished and given a dual-tone look. This one has a blued slide and a satin-chrome finish. It is all matching, has the proper “Eagle N” proofs, and has retained about 97% of its finish. There is minor muzzle wear and very light handling marks here and there. It comes with excellent grips and a wartime magazine. This one has a very small import mark on the right side of the slide. Mint bore.
