2/11/21 – This is a military Hirschfanger made by WKC. The blade is double etched with floral designs and in excellent condition. Some mild patina throughout. The handle has three acorns on one side of the grip. No cracks or chips and mild wear. The scabbard has the blue leather buffer still in tact with excellent stitching. The throat of the scabbard is engraved 2nd Hannovian Dragoon Regiment, No 16. This would be given to soldiers who would forage and hunt for the field kitchen. This is pre/early WW1 piece and in stunning overall condition. The leather frog is reproduction.
