1/19/21 – This is an original Winchester Model 70 in excellent condition, and with an interesting history. The rifle itself was manufactured in 1955 and shows minimal signs of use. The original bluing is excellent, and the stock has only minor dings and nicks. Attached is a Weaver V4.5-A scope with clear optics. The rifle comes with an original firearms sales slip from the U.S. Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay, stating it was purchased by Major C.B. Armstrong Jr. in September of 1956. The slip is serialized to the gun, and our consignor has attached some history on Major Armstrong. He retired at the rank of colonel, and had an illustrious military career as a Marine pilot.
