11/19/20 – This is a mismatching K98 bayonet made during WW2. The blade is in great shape with some finish loss as shown, but no major flaws nor any rust or pitting. The blade is marked “S238G” and serial numbered 5192. The wood handle is in great shape and original. Has proper droop winged eagle proof stamps on the handle as well. The hand guard is numbered, which was likely done post-war. This bayonet was likely diverted to police use after the war. The scabbard is 1942 dated and mis-matching numbered to the blade. No dents or issues on the scabbard.
