11/12/20 – This is a very nice WW1-era DWM Luger with an interesting story. First off, the chamber in double-dated 1918 and 1920. It also has German Imperial military proofs. This would indicate the gun was initially issued the German military in 1918 and was later diverted to the German police force in the 1920’s. However, this gun also has a Nazi-Era Eagle proof on the right side of the slide. This would indicate the gun was likely then issued to the Nazi police during WW2. It is all matching and has retained about 90% of its original finish. There is wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the high edges of the frame. There is spotty wear on the barrel, chamber, and front strap. Spotty patina on the straps. There is an area of wear and pitting on the underside of the barrel. It comes with period-correct grips and a WW2-era magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there are areas of minor freckling.
