10/28/20 – This is an original 1939 dated Kriegsmarine Luger holster. The holster is maker stamped and dated on the back leather along with a waffen military proof and an eagle/M Kreigsmarine proof stamp. The maker stamp is very faint and hard to decipher, but the 1939 date can be seen – see photos. The waffen and kriegsmarine proofs are stronger stamps. The black leather is in great condition overall with normal signs of aging. The stitching is all original, but there are about 5 loose stitches where the lid attaches to the body of leather – a common flaw and doesn’t affect functionality or integrity of the holster.
