3/28/23 – This is a nice example of a DWM Luger made in Germany for Stoeger Arms Corporation to be sold in the U.S. Several different barrel lengths were offered in either 9mm or 7.65mm. This particular gun has a 4″ barrel and is chambered in 7.65mm, or .30 Luger. The quantity of Lugers acquired by Stoeger was rather low, making this Luger a scarce variation. This example is marked with the “American Eagle” stamp on the chamber and “DWM” on the toggle. There is a Germany export mark on the right side of the slide. It is all matching and has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original bluing. There is very minor muzzle wear, wear on some of the high edges, and wear on the side plate. There isn’t much actual finish loss on the straps, but there is spotty oxidation/discoloration throughout. The grips are very nice – just a a few small areas of wear. It comes with a WW1-era numbered magazine – small chip in the left side. The bore has relatively weak rifling with minor pitting throughout.
