8/20/20 – This is an original WW2 Remington Rand 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It has “FJA” inspector’s initials and a “P” proof on the left side of the gun. It has a military cross-canon cartouche and a “United States Property” mark on the right side. It has a correct Hi Standard barrel. Overall, the gun is in excellent condition, retaining about 97% of its original finish. There is very minor muzzle and general high edge wear. One spot of discoloration on the right side of the frame, near the tang. Very minor thinning on the front strap. Excellent grips. Comes with a period-correct, “L” marked magazine. The bore is excellent – shiny with strong rifling.
