8/18/20 – This is an ultra-rare, WW1, German, double iron cross, 1st class award. One is dated 1914 (WW1) and the other is dated 1939 (WW2). It was issued to a veteran of both World Wars. The bottom Iron Cross. was made for the veteran by C.E. Juncker (L/12 makers marked on the reverse) likely in the early 1940s after receiving a 1939 Iron Cross. Both pieces have heavy patina and are great examples of this rare variation.
