7/27/20 – This is an end-of-war production SVW 45 put together from left over parts by the French immediately after WW2. The pistol is phosphated throughout (except the magazine). The barrel is mis-matching to the rest of the gun, and the hammer has a Walther waffen proof stamp on it. All of this suggests this was put together by the French with leftover factory parts immediately after the war. Further, the frame appears to have been re-numbered at some point (you can see a hint of a different letter block under the “H” suffix”). The frame and slide also both have waffen WaA135 Mauser proof stamps. The French star proof stamp is on the locking block NOT on the slide, which is unique. Also unique is having both waffen proof stamps (nazi markings) AND a French star. The bore is excellent and minty, 10/10 overall. The pistol is mechanically sound with functioning safety and decocker. No import stamps. Comes with late-WW2 style black grips (found on later war production Mausers), and a jvd P.38 magazine from WW2.
