6/24/20 – This is an original 1940 dated K98 bayonet with a matching serial numbered scabbard and a 1941 dated leather frog. The blade and scabbard are both numbered “661 n”. The blued blade is original and excellent with only minor bluing loss. Serial numbered on one side and maker stamped on the reverse. The handle does have some light patina, but no major issues. Properly waffen proof stamped on the handle, button, and base of the scabbard. The scabbard has a few small dents and bluing loss on the reverse side. The leather frog has a maker stamp and date, but they’re hard to read.
