1/31/20 – This is an excellent 1943 production M1 Carbine rifle from WW2. The rifle has excellent finish throughout, and we only see a few minor areas of discoloration on the receiver & bolt. The wood is excellent and likely has been treated with some type of preserver, due to the soft feel and deep color. The right side has the proper cartouche, and another stamp that looks like “A.RABBI” . We’re not sure if this is an inspector stamp of some kind (we’re not familiar with who), or if this is the name of a veteran who stamped his name into his rifle. The bore is shiny and shows only minor signs of use – 9/10 overall. The parts are all correctly Inland, and this makes for a nice collectible rifle. Comes with an excellent, likely unissued canvas case. Ink dated 1944 on the interior.
