10/2/19 – This is an all matching and original K98 that was manufactured in 1943 by Gustloff Werke for the German Army. The finish rates at around 90% with a very nice receiver but some notable thinning on the trigger grouping, and some patina/thinning on the barrel and bands. The stock has sharp Heer Army proof on the right side. It’s in very good shape but does have a thin surface crack behind the rear screw of the trigger housing. Bore is shiny with strong rifling but some frost throughout. Original sight hood present, but no sling or cleaning rod.
