4/15/19 – This is an original French production U.S. 1918 mark 1 trench knife. These were made by Au Lion in France for the WWI war effort. These are very scarce and desirable to collectors. The blade has is very shiny, and we’ve been told this was professionally cleaned. The maker stamp on one side is clear and original. No signs of sharpening. The handle is excellent and the original scabbard (included) has both belt hooks in tact. There is some light rust and a small dent on the scabbard but overall in great shape.
