12/18/18 – This is a super rare Chinese military version of the Russian Makarov pistol, in mint, original condition. Very few of these guns without import markings are here in the states, as they were brought into the country as Vietnam souvenirs by the returning GIs. This is a rare Chinese “internal security” procurement model, as evidenced by a Shield emblem with five stars on its grip. The gun is complete with two original matching mags, a cleaning rod and an original Chicom holster. It is interesting to note that while most of these rare pistols are in the 4 million serial range, this one is in the 2 million serial range and was probably made around 1959-1960. Stamped with 59SHI Chinese factory symbol on the left side. Minty bore and grips. The serial number is also mentioned in the recent edition of the Chinese Makarov book that is available on line. An impossible to upgrade, Vietnam bring-back rig.
