10/29/18 – This is a very nice example of a rare 1908 Variation Navy DWM Luger from the pre-WWI era. There were only an estimated 8,500 of this variation produced, all from serial 1044b-9505b. The 1908 variation has no chamber date and has also seen the grip safety removed. The finish on this pistol rates at 96-97% with most of the finish loss on the sideplate and muzzle, and a little more on the bottom of the front strap. Small parts still show some nice straw. Barrel is GERMANY marked to denote export. Adjustable rear side. Excellent grips that are numbered and matching to the pistol. The pistol has an original and hard to find Navy magazine that is numbered and matching to the gun. The gun is all matching, but the sideplate has been professionally re-numbered to match. Bore is shiny with strong rifling.
